List of NFL Teams in Alphabetically Order

NFL stands for National Football League. It was formed on August 20, 1920 as American Professional Football Conference (APFC). After one month, another meeting was held on September 17, 1920 and this meeting ended with renaming the league as American Professional Football Association (APFA). On October 3, 1920 first event was held, ending with some controversial winning results. After that event, On June 24, 1922 the American Professional Football Association (APFA) changed its name to the National Football League (NFL).

List of NFL Teams

In 1920, ten football teams gathered in Canton, Ohio, to create the American Professional Football Association (APFA). In 1930, the league had eleven teams. In 1950, after merging with the All-America Football Conference (AAFC), the league expanded to thirteen teams. In 1960, there were sixteen NFL and ten AFL teams in the league. Later, in 2002, there were thirty-two teams in the league. All 32 teams are located in the United States.

Initially, there were twelve founder members of the NFL. Only two members, the Decatur Staleys (now the Chicago Bears) and the Chicago Cardinals (now the Arizona Cardinals) are still in the league. The NFL is divided into the National Football Conference( NFC) and the American Football Conference(AFC). Each conference has four divisions with four teams each.

In the list below, one team is a pioneer team of the NFL, which is the Green Bay Packers, which joined the NFL in 1921, and this team is the oldest NFL franchise. The former NFL franchises are the Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Rams, Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, and Arizona Cardinals. 2. List of NFL Teams With Super Bowl Wins

The Super Bowl is the annual American football game that determines the champion of the National Football League (NFL). Among 28 franchises, 20 franchises won the super bowl championship. The super bowl winners are the national champions. The winner receives the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Some super bowl winners are listed below in the table.

The NFL has a monopoly on professional football in the United States. This means that NFL has control of its entire market. It sets eligibility criteria for the players only senior college players can get the draft option. Every NFL team is based in the United States, but it entertains worldwide audiences by showing leagues on national channels like ABC, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC.
